The Project Manager (Accounting/Valuation) will lead the valuation of infrastructure assets constructed under the Samuel De Champlain Bridge Corridor Project. This role involves assessing the book value of 24 Design-Build-Transfer (DBT) assets to support their transfer to public authorities. The Project Manager will coordinate with engineering experts, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the valuation of DBT infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, and ancillary structures.
Develop and present a detailed methodology for asset valuation.
Coordinate with engineering advisors to assess physical and functional aspects of assets.
Prepare financial documentation to support asset revaluation for government financial statements.
Manage timelines and deliverables across four key phases, culminating in a final valuation report.
Participate in launch meetings, technical workshops, site visits, and evaluation presentations.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government asset transfer protocols.
Liaise with stakeholders including Ville de Montreal, JCCBI, MTMD, and Ville de Brossard.
Maintain documentation and audit trails for all valuation activities.
Qualifications:
Experience
: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and valuation, including at least two projects in road structure asset assessment within the last 8 years.
Designation
: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or accredited senior appraiser (American Society of Appraisers or Appraisal Institute of Canada).
Skills
:
Expertise in asset valuation methodologies.
Experience leading complex infrastructure valuation projects.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Ability to conduct research and financial analysis.
Language Proficiency
: Advanced level in both English and French (oral, written, and comprehension).
