The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Project Manager, Asset Performance. This job is full-time permanent.

Position

The Asset Performance team is upsizing!

Resolute is seeking four project leaders to participate in a highly complex and visible multidisciplinary strategic transformation initiative. Join our team and play a key role in adopting transformational thinking and implementing programs and processes that focus on transformation and organizational effectiveness.

The incumbents will work closely with their business segment lead to complete performance improvement projects and meet operational objectives to enhance Resolute\'s reliability, production and maintenance capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Implement \xe2\x80\x9cThe Resolute Way\xe2\x80\x9d management system in wood products facilities to train key managers and develop essential skills
  • Drive adoption of asset performance and management best practices and facilitate the digital transformation
  • Implement standard operating procedures
  • Strengthen Lean Six Sigma skills in pulp, paper and tissue mills and wood products facilities
  • Analyze management processes and systems to identify performance improvement opportunities and develop an action plan
  • Assist in developing the action plan to meet performance targets in wood products facilities
  • Track and report progress of activities related to objectives to mill/facility management and the central team
  • Exert political influence, offer conceptual, logical and data-driven reasoning, organize work effectively and lead in challenging times
Ideal profile
  • Safety-oriented
  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, chemical or industrial engineering
  • Minimum five years\' experience in a large heavy industry manufacturing company, preferably in the forest products sector (pulp, paper, tissue or wood products)
  • Knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices
  • Experience in implementing Lean Six Sigma, 5S and SMED methods
  • Strong continuous improvement track record (implementation and results)
  • Experience as an influential supervisor and leader
  • Proven project management and implementation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of English and French, both oral and written, enabling regular discussions with internal colleagues and external partners in Canada and the United States
  • Willing to travel 25-75% of the time (Quebec, Ontario and USA)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools
  • Knowledge of PI System, PARCview software, B3 and Guide Ti; knowledge of SAP is an asset
