WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project Management
Lead project startup activities, including permits, schedules, budgets, and construction documentation.
Oversee day-to-day project execution, coordinating closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Review and verify change orders, manage contractual issues, and support timely project close-out.
Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and monthly performance updates for leadership.
Ensure adherence to all company, client, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.
Estimating & Bid Development
Develop accurate cost estimates ranging from $100K to $100M, incorporating labour, equipment, materials, overhead, and profit margins.
Prepare conceptual and detailed bid submissions with or without complete drawings/specifications.
Conduct bid evaluations, analyze proposals, recommend subcontractors, and negotiate contract terms.
Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases and perform risk/opportunity reviews for each bid.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and support Project Coordinators, helping grow technical and project management skills.
Work closely with the Construction Manager and other business units to ensure feasibility and accurate costing.
Support materials management, logistics, and procurement activities as needed.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across the project team.
WHAT YOU BRING
7-10 years of civil earthworks project management experience.
3-5 years of senior estimating experience with a proven ability to produce accurate, competitive bids.
Strong knowledge of quantity takeoffs, subtrade procurement, and estimating/bid closing procedures.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and built documents.
Proficiency in estimating software (B2W preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Post-secondary diploma/degree in construction, engineering, or a related field; engineering degree or Gold Seal certification is an asset.
Class 5 Driver's License and clean 5-year Driver's Abstract.
