Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.
Our crown corporation client seeks a Finance Project Manager for a 12-month contract. In this role you will support the development and implementation of processes related to corporate planning, risk management and financial reporting. The role provides analysis and strategic advice and leads the life-cycle management of corporate performance and risk processes.
The Finance Project Manager's duties will include:

• Supporting the implementation of corporate planning, risk management, and corporate performance management process
• Leading the design and development of finance process documentation
• Acting as the Project Lead for key Finance initiatives
• Facilitating corporate planning process
• Providing advice and clarification to senior management across on the corporate planning, risk management, and corporate performance management
• Working with stakeholders to monitor and report on risk and performance management
• Coordinating review and approval of Corporate Plan in accordance with critical path timelines

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• A minimum of five years in finance or accounting, preferably in the private sector
• A minimum of five years of experience in finance project management roles
• Working knowledge of public sector finance management practices and compliance
• Knowledge of risk and project management principles and practices
• Knowledge of corporate communications and corporate planning theories and principles to contribute to the development of corporate and business plans and report writing.
• Knowledge of performance management theories and principles to monitor and management performance against corporate objectives.
• Working knowledge of risk management frameworks
• Excellent communication skills, French/English bilingualism a strong asset
• Excellent presentation skills
