The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.

About the Opportunity

The NS Health Learning Institute for Health Care Providers within Interprofessional Practice and Learning (IPPL) plays a leadership role within the organization in creating a culture of learning with a focus on transition to specialty practice programs, entry-level transition to practice, interprofessional practice education (IPE) and continuing professional practice development. The Learning Institute promotes accountable professional practice in quality practice environments, facilitates patient and family centered care, fosters collaborative team relationships, and supports research and evidence-based practice.

Reporting to the Manager, Provincial Programming, Learning Institute, the Project Leader is responsible for providing essential coordination of and logistical support to new programs and initiatives at the Learning Institute. The successful applicant will ensure a coordinated effort between Learning Institute team members, strategy directions as well as all other partners of the project.

The project lead works closely with the Manager and Professional Practice Leader to identify goals, objectives, timelines, deliverables aligned with key strategic initiatives of various projects. The position will be responsible for coordination and achievement of goals and objectives outlined in the project charter. Travel is required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a health profession/adult education/ health promotion or relevant experience
  • Formal education (or equivalent work experience) in program development and evaluation preferred
  • Certification in Project management an asset
  • 1-3 years\' experience in project management in planning and executing a variety of large scale and/or complex initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in project management/project administration
  • Experience facilitating team meetings
  • Experience working in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience utilizing technology to create efficiencies and streamline tracking, retrieval, and distribution of information
  • Experience with program evaluation framework development and implementation
  • Experience with indicator development and data capture
  • Critical analysis skills/experience
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver\'s License
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Salary Information

$31.08 - $38.85 hourly
$60,606.19 - $75,757.89 annually
