Position Summary:


The Project Lead is responsible for leading and supporting delivery of projects and initiatives that help to achieve CMHA HPE's clinical, strategic, operational, and quality objectives. This position will use project management knowledge and competencies to support and manage multiple projects through all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, monitor and controlling, execution and closing to achieve organizational priorities, including quality improvement for clinical services. The role will establish and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in order to establish the conditions for effective engagement to support the delivery of key strategic priorities. This position will support the continued development of CMHA HPE's project management documentation, processes, resources and capacity building across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:



University degree in health sciences, project management or equivalent is required Five (5) years of project management experience leading medium-to-large-scale healthcare or equivalent industry projects is required Project Management experience in a Mental Health and Addictions or healthcare setting is an asset Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or formal project management training required Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and industry standards and best practices. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate project objectives, inspire, influence, negotiate, coach and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with CMHA HPEs organizational strategy. A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness and the ability to use the structure of the organization to achieve project success and overcome obstacles including conflict management skills and sound judgement abilities A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to inspire teams to engage in delivering on the project goals and objectives with consensus building capabilities and ability to negotiate and resolve conflict Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills Demonstrated ability to balance multiple and competing priorities daily Demonstrated skills in developing project evaluation frameworks/measurement plans, data analytics, strategic planning and execution Experience within the healthcare sector's information systems is an asset Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, MS Project, MS Visio and SharePoint Demonstrated facilitation skills including consensus building Advanced problem solving, decision-making, planning, negotiation and evaluation skills Advanced resource planning and performance measurement skills Demonstrated knowledge of local and regional health care systems Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle and provide proof of adequate vehicle insurance. Required to provide a satisfactory criminal reference check (CRC) and Vulnerable Sector prior to hire.
