to join our growing team in Edmonton, Alberta. This hybrid role supports the
full project lifecycle
from tendering and estimating to scheduling, coordinating and execution - primarily focused on
multi-family residential construction.
Duties
Estimating & Tendering:
Lead tendering efforts on multi-family projects.
Review drawings, specifications and documents to determine project scope and requirements.
Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Maintain up-to-date cost databases for labour, materials and historical pricing.
Provide conceptual estimates based on historical data and market trends.
Recommend allowances for contingencies
Project Coordination:
Assist in developing project plans, timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the project phases.
Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas and document outcomes.
Support superintendents with scheduling, QA/QC, safety and material logistics.
Manage documentation such as RFIs, submittals and shop drawings.
Track project deliverables and assist with contract administration and cost control.
Provide project updates and visual documentation for internal use and marketing.
Risk, Quality & Compliance:
Monitor and communicate project risks and issues.
Support implementation of quality assurance standards.
Ensure compliance with safety, legal and company policies.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
Minimum 2 years
in a similar estimating/project coordination role in Canada.
Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong skills in project planning, cost tracking and budgeting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with estimating or project management software is an asset.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and management multiple deadlines.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
