We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The service we seek is for you to do would be to do take offs from blue prints which would include insulation, drywall, steel studs grid ceilings etc. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate estimates for various projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in estimating software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and clients. The Project Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that all estimates align with company standards and client expectations.
Duties
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
Utilize Invitley software to prepare detailed material takeoff for construction projects.
Collaborate with project management teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline project costs, timelines, and deliverables.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather additional data for estimating purposes.
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project-related documents for future reference.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or technologies that may impact estimating.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable terms from suppliers and subcontractors.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
