Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Estimator to help prepare budgets and estimates for high-end custom residential projects, from early concept through construction.

This role is best suited to someone with a strong background in custom residential construction who understands the details involved in building custom homes. We are looking for accurate, complete estimates --Attention to detail and clear communication with trades and suppliers is important in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work

Complete quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications

Prepare and manage bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers

Review and level pricing, identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risks

Ensure all scopes are complete and clearly defined

Maintain estimating templates, assemblies, and cost information

Assist project teams with budgeting, change pricing, and value options as required

Communicate with project management, designers, and trade partners as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience estimating residential construction
(custom homes and higher-end residential work preferred)

Good understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and materials

Experience with quantity takeoffs and detailed estimating

Comfortable using estimating and takeoff tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar

Organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple pricing deadlines

Able to communicate clearly and work professionally with trades and suppliers

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
