Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee
all phases of assigned project work including scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and reporting.
Act as the main liaison
on-site between the client, general contractor, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Support or lead
short- and mid-term project planning
, including 72-hour and 3- to 6-week look-aheads.
Monitor and report on
project performance metrics
, including progress, quality, cost tracking, and safety compliance.
Participate in and facilitate
daily and weekly meetings
(internal, client, subcontractor, safety).
Coordinate and document all
change management
, including RFIs, change orders, and schedule adjustments.
Assist with or manage
procurement
of equipment, materials, and services in collaboration with internal buyers.
Maintain accurate and timely
site documentation
including daily logs, construction reports, QA/QC records, and subcontractor updates.
Proactively manage and
resolve field issues
, prioritizing safety and project objectives.
Promote and uphold company and client
health, safety, and environmental standards
across all activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-5 years of experience
in project coordination or management within civil construction or mining environments.
Post-secondary education in
Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geological Engineering
, or a related field (Technologist diploma or university degree).
Strong understanding of
construction and earthworks operations
, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent organizational and
time-management skills
with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
Strong interpersonal and
communication skills
, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in
MS Office
, especially Excel; experience with
MS Project, AutoCAD, survey tools (Topcon/Trimble)
, or project management software is an asset.
Familiarity with
QA/QC practices
, permitting, and cost control processes.
Strong analytical mindset with
problem-solving abilities
and commercial awareness.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel or work in remote project locations.
PMP certification or work toward certification is considered an asset.
