Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals business line in the Vancouver office.

About the Role

\xc2\xb7 Act as Project Engineer for a variety of assignments across Ausenco\xe2\x80\x99s client base

\xc2\xb7 Participate in the development and administration of project implementation documentation, execution strategy, and/or procurement and contract packaging strategy

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts for timely preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of project deliverables

\xc2\xb7 Assist with analysis of project financial models, and assist in financial benchmarking and reporting of major performance indicators

\xc2\xb7 Lead the preparation of regulatory documentation such as NI 43-101, SK-1300 or other regulatory documentation

\xc2\xb7 Manage interfaces between engineering / procurement / logistics / contracts and the construction team to resolve issues impeding contractor progress

\xc2\xb7 Monitor project cost, progress and schedule reports and coordinate action plans to correct deviations from plan

\xc2\xb7 Provide input to weekly and monthly reports

\xc2\xb7 Manage client relationships for potential and existing projects and interface directly with sub-consultants, and vendors

\xc2\xb7 Participate and advance continuous improvement of Ausenco design standards, project management procedures, and other added value initiatives

Qualifications

About You

\xc2\xb7 4-year Engineering degree or related technical degree or diploma

\xc2\xb7 3-7 years of experience in the development, delivery and/or operation of mining, mineral processing projects, or other major industrial capital projects

\xc2\xb7 Desire to become part of a highly technical team providing ingenious and value-added solutions to our customers

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work closely with Senior Project Managers and Discipline leads to execute work

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to think "out of the box" to provide our clients with innovative & value-added solutions

\xc2\xb7 Experience with an engineering consulting practice or field engineering experience is an asset

\xc2\xb7 Estimating, Project Controls, Contracts Management, Quality Management and/or Project Management experience is an asset

\xc2\xb7 Willingness to travel when required, including periodic travel to Vancouver if residing elsewhere.

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
