Assignment Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer with a strong background in Utilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of supporting and delivering infrastructure projects. Experience in the design phase is considered a strong asset and will enhance your contribution to multi-disciplinary project teams from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate utility infrastructure projects through all project stages--planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout. Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Review and oversee engineering designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld. Lead coordination between utility providers, municipal authorities, and contractors. Support procurement processes including preparation of RFPs and evaluation of bids. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in utility engineering (e.g., water, wastewater, power, gas, telecom). P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) preferred. Strong understanding of utility infrastructure standards and regulatory requirements. Experience working on multidisciplinary projects with design consultants and municipal authorities. Design phase experience is an asset, particularly in feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and detailed design. Proficient in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project). * Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
