The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree and a Professional Engineer designation. Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing large customer projects from design to construction and ensuring successful project completion within specified timelines and budget constraints.

Key elements of this role include:

  • Manage customer projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate with the design team to develop project plans, review designs, and ensure compliance with the Utility specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling group to develop project schedules and milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Work closely with the construction supervisor to coordinate construction activities, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any potential issues or inquiries.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey technical information to stakeholders and team members effectively.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering with a professional engineer designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer projects from design to construction.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to review designs and provide technical guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software, CAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
