Post Consumer Brands in Niagara Falls, Ontario is home to the Original Shredded Wheat cereal, first produced at this plant 117 years ago. Today, more than 150 team members work at the plant and support the local food bank and other community organizations. Niagara Falls is the perfect location for cereal and nature fans alike. Responsibilities:
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Either directly, or through designated supervisory personnel, is responsible for the following:


  • Incorporate personnel safety, food safety, and product quality into all stages of project development
  • Design and improve manufacturing systems with a focus on improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs
  • Use out of the box thinking to develop innovative solutions
  • Lead change management for all projects that are being directly led and support the change management of others
  • Must be adept at communicating ideas and findings to workers, team members, colleagues, clients, and management
  • Will work with multiple internal stakeholders including Operations, Quality, Logistics, Safety, Maintenance, Management, Hourly, Human Resources and Product Development
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, on budget, and within the scope identified
  • Assists with the development of new engineering and project management standards and maintains and improves existing standards and guidelines
  • Develop and apply site design standards when gaps are identified
  • Manage projects and improvements at all stages from idea generation through execution
  • Maintains and fosters contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers
  • Prepare and present project updates for senior management in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct all facets of a project
  • Must be able to integrate conflicting requirements from and get customer involvement at every stage of project
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to identify gaps, workshop options, and implement solutions
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and perform coaching to co-workers and employees
  • Must function well individually and in a team environment

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years project experience in food processing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering type documents and drawings
  • Excellent reasoning skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make conclusions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills with good listening skills
