Locke's Electrical, a leader in electrical and utility infrastructure solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Project Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will bring both technical expertise and the ability to build strong relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support engineering projects from concept through to completion, acting as a project manager on assigned electrical infrastructure works (e.g., transmission lines, substations, utility upgrades).
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (including designers, field personnel, managers, administration teams, subcontractors, and clients) to ensure smooth project delivery.
Complete site visits and field reviews to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.
Prepare and review budgetary estimates, project schedules, proposals, and technical reports.
Assist with business development activities including preparation of bid packages, proposals, and presentations to clients.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Contribute to procedural writing and construction work methods that align with Locke's standards.
Support and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline
5+ years of experience in engineering or project management, preferably in utility, infrastructure, or industrial settings.
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including substations, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.
Experience leading or support multi-disciplinary projects from design through construction.
Proficiency in project scheduling, cost estimating, and budget management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Comfortable conducing field reviews and site visits.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills
Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Experience mentoring junior staff is considered an asset.
