Nous developpons notre equipe Produits de construction et nous recherchons un specialiste de projet qui soit pret a apporter un reel impact.
Ce que vous ferez :
En tant que specialiste de projet, vous serez charge(e) de:
Examiner les plans de construction et les documents techniques afin de verifier leur conformite aux codes nationaux (p. ex. NBC, CSA, UL, ASTM).
Evaluer, tester et inspecter les produits de construction dans des laboratoires et sur les sites des clients au Canada et aux Etats-Unis.
Rediger des rapports techniques clairs, detailles et objectifs.
Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les fabricants pour les guider dans les divers processus de conformite et de certification.
Interpreter les codes du batiment canadiens (plomberie, electricite, gaz) et les appliquer aux materiaux de construction reels.
Soutenir la conception des tests, la preparation des echantillons et la documentation.
Collaborer avec les equipes internes et contribuer a l'amelioration des processus et a la satisfaction des clients.
Ce que vous apportez:
Au moins deux ans d'experience dans un poste technique, d'inspection ou de certification
Titre d'ingenieur professionnel (P.Eng.) ou d'ingenieur stagiaire (EIT) (les stagiaires ou EIT doivent etre admissibles a l'obtention du titre d'ingenieur professionnel dans un delai d'un an
Diplome technique ou programme professionnel en sciences du batiment, construction, mecanique/electricite ou domaines connexes
Maitrise de l'anglais et du francais (ecrit et parle)
Solides competences en MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Disponibilite pour voyager a travers le Canada et les Etats-Unis
Permis de conduire et passeport valides
Competences techniques cles
Solides connaissances pratiques en matiere de tests, d'inspection et de certification.
Capacite a guider les clients et les equipes sur les exigences techniques et les delais.
Aptitude a gerer les priorites et a coordonner plusieurs projets entre differentes equipes.
Communicateur clair, capable d'identifier et d'expliquer avec assurance les problemes de conformite.
Indispensables
Permis de conduire et passeport valides (ou possibilite d'en obtenir un).
Disponibilite pour voyager a travers le Canada, les Etats-Unis et a l'etranger.

Join QAI Laboratories, a leading North American organization specializing in third-party testing, inspection, and certification for the building and construction industries. We're expanding our Building Products team and looking for a Project Specialist who's ready to make a real impact.
What You'll Do:
As a Project Specialist, you'll:
Review building plans and technical documents for compliance with national codes (e.g., NBC, CSA, UL, ASTM)
Evaluate, test, and inspect building products in labs and at client sites across Canada & the U.S.
Prepare clear, detailed, and objective technical reports
Work closely with manufacturers to guide them through compliance and certification processes
Interpret Canadian Building Codes (plumbing, electrical, gas) and apply them to real-world construction materials
Support test setup design, sample preparation, and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to process improvement and client satisfaction
What You Bring:
2+ years in a technical, inspection, or certification role
P.Eng. or EIT designation (must be eligible to obtain P.Eng. within one year if EIT)
Technical diploma or trade program in building science, construction, mechanical/electrical, or related fields
Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken)
Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Willingness to travel throughout Canada and the U.S.
Valid driver's license and passport
Key Technical Competence
Strong hands-on knowledge in testing, inspection, and certification.
Ability to guide clients and teams on technical requirements and timelines.
Skilled at juggling priorities and managing multiple projects across teams.
Clear communicator who can identify and explain compliance issues confidently.
Must-Haves
Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to get one).
Willingness to travel across Canada, the US, and internationally.
Bonus Points
Forklift experience
First Aid Level I or higher
