Do you have a strong customer facing skillset? Are you highly organized and prioritize projects based on time and budget? If so then we need you as our next Project Engineer!! Where does the Project Engineer fit in? As the Project Engineer, you will be expected to liaise with customers and provide support on various project management issues. Completion of requisitions for capital, tooling and any other required materials for assigned projects. You will work closely with suppliers in order to meet project goals and deadlines, following up on all aspects of a given project from start to finish. The Project Engineer will assist in the development of technical presentations to support the Sales team as well as lead or assist with technical reviews for programs related to engineered solutions. What you can expect as our next Project Engineer: Build overall project budget, compile budget requests, and generate capitalization plan based on project timelineEnsure the strategy (customer requirements/timeline/milestones) is well communicated with stakeholders for alignment and meeting objectivesAct as the key point of contact to the client\'s program leader/technical counterpartMonitor & manage all key dates and timing charts as requiredFacilitate program/project status meetings with project teams & account steering teamsManage technical & administrative staff and provide ongoing direction in the performance of the assigned programIdentify roadblocks and recommend appropriate resolutionsManage information both externally and internally as required by each projectBe responsible for timely communication of information and customer interactionEnsure successful program launchBe accountable to keep customer and program on track with effective conflict resolutionEnsure to keep management updated on program status and communicate escalations as requiredMaintain positive relationships with current and past clients, keeping them up to date of company developments & potential opportunitiesAssist internal teams for preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements & specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contractPlan & drive long-term strategies for key accounts that align with corporate mandateEnsures compliance of IATF-16949 systems and proceduresAssist with Continuous Improvement Initiatives for current systems and processesProvide technical support for engineered solutions- with the development of technical presentations, leading/assisting with technical reviews as well as attending technical sales presentations as requiredPerform additional assigned duties and responsibilities as required. Are you our next Project Engineer? Post-secondary degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 2 to 3 years experience in program/project management (automotive industry)Experience in the Automotive industry is requiredProficient with MS ProjectImpeccable oral and written communication & presentation skills, with the ability to interface with senior managementStrong relationship building skillsAble to effectively communicate client needs to the organization, simultaneously balancing organizational requirementsProactive view to identifying & driving financial benefits for our clientsProven successful launches of previous programsAbility to think & execute strategically and is results orientedSelf-motivated individual with a strong attention to detailExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multi task as requiredAble to travel to customer/supplier destinations within North America with short notice Perks?!
