Project Engineer
to join our team and play a key role in electrifying buildings and parking areas in line with British Columbia's carbon emission reduction goals. This role focuses on the preparation of Electrical Planning Reports and EV Ready Plans, enabling properties to electrify heating, cooling, and HVAC systems while integrating EV charging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of EV Ready Plans and Electrical Planning Reports for commercial and residential properties.
Conduct site visits to evaluate mechanical and electrical rooms, identifying electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and HVAC components.
Assess building infrastructure to determine how properties can electrify heating and cooling systems, and implement EV charging solutions.
Perform electrical load calculations to ensure the feasibility of proposed EV charging and electrification upgrades.
Evaluate properties for electrical capacity, space availability, and readiness for electrification and EV charging infrastructure.
Develop and track project schedules.
Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive project plans that meet client requirements, ensuring optimal charging infrastructure design and integration
Provide expert advice and exceptional customer service to clients through phone, virtual meetings, and email communications.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, client interactions, and technical assessments.
Develop and maintain respectful and high-quality relationships within ChargeFWD's team members and with customer contacts.
Stay informed about advancements in heat pump technology, electrical systems, EV charging infrastructure, and provincial decarbonization strategies.
Qualifications:
Engineer in Training Professional who holds an engineering degree is from a university program accredited by Engineers Canada.
3-5 years of experience in energy management, energy efficiency, or decarbonization projects, particularly for existing buildings.
Must have a strong and well-rounded knowledge of decarbonization strategies specific to buildings and infrastructure.
Knowledge and experience in developing Electrical Planning Reports and EV Ready Plans is considered an asset.
Hands-on experience conducting site visits, including the assessment of mechanical and electrical rooms to identify heating, cooling, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Based in Vancouver, Remote work, Site visits required. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
Core work hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week required.
Expected Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year
