As part of our team, you will work on a variety of dam / water control structure and floodplain mapping projects. You will also have the chance to step outside the office to support dam inspections and field investigations, bringing your work to life in the communities we serve.

What You Will Do



In this role, you will:



Perform deterministic and statistical hydrological analyses to develop inflow hydrographs and peak flows for hydraulic modeling (HEC-SSP and HEC-HMS). Conduct 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling, including dam breach studies, using HEC-RAS. Carry out hydraulic design of water control structures. Prepare high-quality technical reports, letters, drawings, and maps.

Your qualifications include:



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources). P.Eng. license or Engineer-in-Training registration in Ontario. 2+ years of relevant experience (5 years preferred, including EIT experience). Knowledge of provincial and federal floodplain mapping guidelines and standards including: o Technical Guide - River and Stream Systems: Flooding Hazard Limit (MNR) Federal Floodplain Mapping Guidelines (Natural Resources Canada) Technical Guidelines for Flood Hazard Mapping (TRCA). Proficiency with ArcGIS (ArcMap) for hydrology studies and floodplain mapping. Willingness to travel across Ontario for fieldwork. Ontario G-class driver's license (or eligible to obtain). Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
