What you'll be doing
The Project Director is a seasoned professional responsible for leading a team of project managers along with defined projects and programs from end to end for large strategically focused and may be product, channel, business development or legal and regulatory in nature. The role applies leadership skills and technical expertise to develop detailed business cases outlining goals, terms of reference and resource requirements, including a detailed cost-benefit analysis. The Project Director exercises a high degree of independent judgement to develop and implement processes for projects, ensuring consistency with organizational objectives and quality standards. The role recommends policy and procedures related modifications to direct the entire project life cycle and monitor progress against plans, ensuring that stakeholders are actively engaged in the delivery of project objectives. The role drives innovation across all areas of responsibility, applying expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2 core days per week on-site, additional days onsite as needed while other days will be remote.
