Nature of Work




The position of project development officer encompasses, in particular, responsibility for research, analysis and development of activities based on a particular theme, such as

community relations

and partnerships

. The project development officer ensures the planning, coordination and delivery of an action plan related to a theme calling on the internal and external resources of the board.

Characteristic functions



Participate in the implementation and update of the school board's strategic plan on a theme for which they are responsible; where applicable become familiar with various programs concerning the project to which they are assigned, assess their pertinence, inform those involved and simplifies their implementation. Analyse the needs of the community, identifies available resources within and outside the network, consults those involved in intervention efforts, prepares an action plan, informs management staff of services and educational institutions and formulates recommendations or proposals. Prepare and conduct, with other school board resources, awareness-building, information and training activities designed for the personnel involved in the various programs and activities of the project. Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of partner organizations involved in the various programs studied to obtain or give advice or information; inform the organizations concerned of the resources and services of the school board and of the educational institutions. Represent the school board in dealings with various partners and resources, conduct meetings with the specialists concerned and coordinate the work of the groups involved in the theme presented. Periodically evaluate the activities related to the theme in which they are involved; make comments, produce reports and formulate recommendations concerning the delivery of activities.

L'emploi d'agente ou agent de developpement comporte plus specifiquement la recherche, l'analyse et le developpement d'activites reliees a une thematique particuliere telle que les relations avec la communaute. L'agente ou l'agent voit a la planification, la coordination et l'animation de la mise en oeuvre d'un plan d'action en lien avec une thematique et faisant appel aux ressources internes et externes de la commission.

Attributions caracteristiques



Contribuer a la realisation, puis a la mise a jour, du plan strategique de la commission scolaire concernant la thematique pour laquelle elle ou il intervient; le cas echeant, se familiarise avec les differents programmes concernant le dossier affecte, evalue leur pertinence, les fait connaitre aux intervenantes et intervenants du milieu et en facilite la mise en oeuvre. Elle ou il analyse les besoins du milieu, identifie les ressources disponibles des reseaux interne et externe, consulte les intervenantes et intervenants, elabore un plan d'action, en informe le personnel d'encadrement des services et des etablissements et formule des recommandations. Elaborer et realiser, avec d'autres ressources de la commission scolaire, des activites de sensibilisation, d'information et de formation a l'intention du personnel concerne par les differents programmes et activites du dossier. Etablir et maintenir des relations de collaboration avec les representantes et representants des organismes partenaires pouvant etre impliques dans les differents programmes etudies pour obtenir ou fournir des avis ou des renseignements; intervienir aupres des organismes concernes pour faire connaitre les ressources et les services de la commission scolaire et des etablissements. Representer la commission scolaire aupres divers partenaires et ressources avec lesquels elle ou il entre en rapport; animer les rencontres des specialistes interesses; coordonner le travail des groupes concernes par la thematique. Proceder periodiquement a l'evaluation des activites en lien avec la thematique pour laquelle elle ou il intervient; emettre des commentaires, produire des rapports et formuler des recommandations en vue de la realisation des activites.
