Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating primarily in the earth works industry and project coordination, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role requires proficiency in industry-standard software such as Bluebeam, along with excellent negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing.

Duties

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Utilize estimating software for takeoffs and bid preparation. Collaborate with project managers and owners to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Conduct thorough market research to determine pricing trends and material costs. Prepare detailed proposals that outline project scope, timelines, and costs. Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for projects. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference. Assist in project management tasks as needed to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes. Proficiency in Bluebeam and other estimating software is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
