Project Coordinator / Estimator
to join our construction team and play a key role in planning, pricing, and managing projects from start to finish.
Position Summary
This role combines both coordination and estimating responsibilities, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment. You will support field crews by preparing accurate cost estimates, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years' experience in civil construction, preferably in sewer and water
Strong estimating skills with knowledge of unit pricing and take-off methods
Familiarity with construction documents, plans, and specifications
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or project management software is an asset
Ability to work both in-office and on-site as needed
Valid G license; clean driver's abstract
Key Responsibilities
Review documentation from both public and private jobs and conduct take-offs for civil construction jobs including:
Site servicing
Watermain and water service repairs
Catch basin repairs and replacements
Grading and excavation
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages through site meets and in-office research
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, materials, equipment, and personnel
Conduct site visits to assess job requirements and ensure project readiness
Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
Track job progress, budgets, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with permits, locates, and utility coordination as required
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and project management processes
