Job Description

Founded in 1990, Nusite Contractors Ltd. has been serving customers for over 30 years and has over 100 years in combined management experience working in construction. Nusite completes everything from traditional waterproofing, blindside waterproofing, inverted roof membranes, traffic coatings, demolition and excavation, concrete work and reserve fund/insurance repair projects. Nusite is certified for material applications, spray-applied equipment and blindside waterproofing and we carry manufacturer warranties on all of our product installations. Assist the Sales and Estimation team with outreach and once the team closes a sale. This role will be able to backfill the estimation department, conduct outreach to all bidders on a project, execute outreach emails, participate in the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of technical and construction document requirements within the scope of a specified project. You will be responsible for providing support to construction projects managing the coordination of schedules, contract administration, progress tracking & reporting, engineering, etc.

Role and Responsibilities



Provides support to Sales and Estimation team for bids/proposals and execution of construction projects. Including outreach emails, submitting bids and tenders, adding our company to the approved tender lists. Supports in the planning and implementation of a project's construction program documents, including understanding the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements. Supports the development and maintenance of the project schedule, manpower allocations, and budgets. Develops and maintains excellent relationships with our current and future trade partners and customers. Monitors / controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Coordinates the procurement of materials and fabrication activities as required with the Dispatch Manager. Inputs into Procore progress and productivity tracking and data entry as required/applicable. Assists with change management and change order process, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact. Prepares monthly Statement of Values reporting project milestones and adjustment to schedules and administration of Change Orders. Provides technical support to construction team to resolve issues. Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications. Coordinates activities relating to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Evaluates and recommends design changes, specifications and drawing releases. Prepares purchase specifications as needed. Supports preparation of subcontract documents (terms, scope, etc.) and bid packages as required for assigned projects. Assists with overall project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance, and warranty. Support Safety Program and performance on assigned projects. Performs such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her manager. Develop and write reports, business correspondence.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Post-secondary school education in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent construction experience). Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a construction environment running projects. Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to construction challenges and present solutions. Ability to create a comprehensive schedule and administer subcontracts and contract documents. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and team skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with Procore is an asset. Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
