The opportunity:



The University of Manitoba is seeking a Project Coordinator to support community-based research in Indigenous family mental health for a CIHR-funded Multi-Nation Adaptation of the BEAM Program (thebeamprogram.com). Key responsibilities include supporting participant recruitment, training, and mentorship of research assistants, as well as managing project logistics, budgets, and documentation. The coordinator will also contribute to knowledge sharing through the development of reports, presentations and social media content.

This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational and communication skills, experience working with children, families, and community organizations, and a commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed practices.

The qualifications and experience we're looking for:



Undergraduate degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related health/social sciences field is required. Master's degree in is psychology, social work, nursing, or a related health/social sciences field is preferred. Undergraduate or Master's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related health/social sciences field is preferred. Minimum of three years of directly related experience with at least one year of experience in psychology, education, social work, or related service settings required. Experience collaborating with a multi-person team in an online or hybrid work environment strongly preferred. Experience with community-based organizations supporting children and families preferred. Familiarity with REDCap or other electronic data capture tools preferred. Experience with project budget coordination and/or financial processing preferred. Experience working with websites or eHealth-related platforms preferred. Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) is an asset. Experience supporting Indigenous family well-being or working with Indigenous communities is an asset. A combination of formal education, lived experience, and/or community-based expertise will be considered. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work respectfully with diverse teams and communities required. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills required. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision required. Proficiency in using online communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, OSF, Slack, Google Docs) required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Cultural safety and trauma-informed communication skills considered an asset. Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $41,666.95-$77,175.21 per year
