POSITION OVERVIEW
We're seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to join our Vancouver team of Geomatics Engineers, British Columbia Land Surveyors (BCLS), and Survey Technologists. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a technical background to advance their career in land surveying and geomatics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Collaborate with BC Land Surveyors (BCLS) to support all phases of project coordination.
Assist in preparing accurate budget reports and draft invoices.
Create and distribute clear, detailed meeting minutes to keep teams aligned.
Facilitate effective communication across project teams, including field survey crews, to ensure seamless execution.
Review survey data and plans for accuracy, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing timely project updates and fostering strong relationships.
Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts and technical drawings.
Utilize surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to support project planning and data analysis.
Identify potential project risks or delays and propose proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
Perform additional survey office tasks as needed to support team success.
REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary education in surveying, engineering and/or CAD or relevant experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Problem-solving skills.
Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D, Raster Design).
Experience drafting and calculating legal, topographic and construction plans.
Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
Knowledge and experience in legal surveys in the Lower Mainland is an asset.
Knowledge of the cadastral system of British Columbia is an asset.
