The salary range for this position is:




Recruitment range: $62,989 - $69,444

starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

Performance range: $81,896

salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases. Job Summary

Mandate:




As stewards of the campus, Facilities Management fosters and enriches an inviting and functional environment that welcomes and supports all who come here. Facilities Management's customers include Deans, departments, faculty, staff and students. The department's branches work together as a team to ensure a high standard of customer service delivery, as well as the effective, efficient and safe performance for the operation, development and maintenance of campus buildings.


Objectives:




The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in helping the project team stay organized, on track, and aligned with project goals. They are instrumental in ensuring that the project runs smoothly and that all necessary documentation are in place. This position is responsible for the overall integrity of the contract process ensuring the correct procedures and signing authorities are followed and complete and accurate documentation has been provided.


The Project Coordinator will have expertise and experience in design and construction procurement and contracts, as well as strong collaborative and organizational skills.


Job Requirements
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, plus minimum 2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

Proficiency in using office and adobe software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio, Acrobat Pro). Proficiency in procurement evaluation, project management reporting and facilities management information system software is an asset. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to collaborate successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the university. Service focus - Acknowledges stakeholders concerns and issues. University community - Uses formal and informal networks to achieve results. Ability to apply project management best practices to achieve project goals on time. Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control. Working understanding of financial and procurement processes. Knowledge of construction documentation, such as drawings and specifications. Knowledge of construction and project management processes & principles. Knowledge of consultant and contractor procurement processes and procedures. Knowledge of Facilities Management processes and procedures. Education or training in project management considered an asset. CAPM or PMP certifications are considered an asset.
