What You Will Do

Report to the Senior Manager, Capital Project Delivery Oversee projects led by both TTC and external agencies (municipal and private) that impact TTC facilities or operations Lead, manage, and coordinate a variety of projects and contracts for the group Develop, monitor, and control open orders for goods and services Manage the development and implementation of operational standards for all capital projects within the group Provide project budget and schedule management support Forecast, develop, and implement short- and long-term financial budgets in collaboration with project managers and subject matter experts Manage consultants, suppliers, and in-house design assignments Develop and implement project control systems, cost evaluation methods, and performance criteria for consultant/contractor selection Administer construction planning, design, physical construction, and accounting for all capital projects within the group Deliver the capital works program and support cross-departmental projects with internal and external partners Participate in corporate and inter-departmental initiatives, including SOGR Infrastructure Programs and the Finance Department's Capital Budget Review Team Provide client consultation, cost-benefit analysis, feasibility studies, technical reviews, and budget estimates for capital initiatives and third-party partnerships (e.g., Metrolinx) Promote a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free work environment that supports diversity and accessibility Lead the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs, and services in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC policies Participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program

What Qualifications Do You Bring

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management), or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent Minimum 5 years of directly related experience is required in a project coordination role within construction, rail and transit, aviation, oil & gas or similar industries Experience working in brownfield sites or operational environments is considered an asset Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, construction practices, codes, standards, and regulations Familiarity with procurement and contracting processes, including tender development and evaluation Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineered product documentation Understanding of property law, union/trade agreements, and construction contracts Proficiency in project management concepts, cost control, and scheduling techniques Skilled in identifying process issues and implementing effective solutions Strong analytical, administrative, and leadership abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and implement procedures that improve operational efficiency Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Maximo, Excel) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and manage relationships in high-pressure situations Ability to supervise and motivate TTC personnel and contract staff to meet project goals Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and related accessibility requirements for passengers and employees Familiarity with TTC's organizational structure, operations, policies, and practices Must have or be able to obtain Subway/SRT Rulebook certification
