We are looking for a highly motivated and personable individual to support our growing technical advisory services in Toronto, Ontario.

As a Project Coordinator of Technical Advisory Services, you will be responsible for undertaking and coordinating the delivery on multiple tasks. You will work with a team of technical professionals in coordinating the reference concept design, the development of technical specifications, and support oversight activities during the design/construction phase. The role will offer the opportunity for a flexible working environment allowing for remote support, while requiring visits to project site offices, and our Jacobs Toronto office, on an as needed basis.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate the development of the Preliminary and/or Reference Concept Design of transportation projects of various sizes.
  • Coordinate development of procurement documents, including technical requirements or specifications.
  • Coordinate activities and deliverables in the design and construction phase, leading to substantial and final completion.
  • Support project management and coordinate delivery to scope, schedule, budget.
  • Champion the delivery of high quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinate with various discipline leads, including with client or partner organizations, to deliver project deliverables.
  • Support client and stakeholder relationships development.
  • Work with the sales team, as required, on proposal development. Here\'s What You\'ll Need:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in preliminary or detail design, project coordination, and/or construction inspection/oversight of major capital projects in Ontario.
  • Licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, or EIT working towards being licensed in the near term.
  • Experience in transportation projects in transit, highway/bridge, and/or municipal engineering and construction major capital projects.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented as well as highly resourceful and self-directed, with a key focus on important skills including communications, time management, teamwork, report writing, and proposal preparation.
  • Empathy, self-awareness, and career enthusiasm.
Ideally, you\'ll also have :
  • Experience in complex transportation assignments.
  • Experience with Environmental Assessment, Preliminary/Reference Concept Design and Detail Design assignments.
  • Experience monitoring delivery budgets on complex multi-phase capital projects.
  • Experience with design-build and PPP, or various alternative delivery models.
  • Experience with transportation departments/ministries, transit agencies, and municipal clients (preferably in Ontario).
