Program Coordinator - Alberta Clinical Research Consortium (6-months)

The Alberta Clinical Research Consortium (ACRC) has an opportunity for a senior undergraduate in a business or STEM program. This position will allow you to apply your research knowledge and expand your skills while gaining valuable experience for future career opportunities. This would be a full-time opportunity for the summer, moving to part time hours in the fall.

This position will assist ACRC in co-leading the planning, coordination, and hosting of the annual Alberta Clinical Health Research Conference - a critical networking event for the ecosystem. You will have a chance to co-develop course content and support program delivery, co-create business intelligence, and any other support activities as they arise.

The successful candidate would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Conference & Event Planning:
Connecting with vendors, caterers, hotels, audiovisual, etc. for the fall conference and training events.
Co-developing conference materials.
Scheduling of regular meetings of the planning committee(s).
Maintaining a list of potential speakers and experts that could be used for the upcoming conference and future events.
Co-leading the sourcing of background information and references to be incorporated into the curriculum for upcoming training events.
Co-developing course content of a new clinical health research 101 workshop for innovators and supporting program delivery, including identification and coordination of speakers.

Program Support:
Co-creating business intelligence using demographic and geospatial maps of the Alberta population to inform ACRC\xe2\x80\x99s activities.
Assessing where the clinical research is being completed in the province and the kinds of populations it could be reaching (heatmap development).
Co-leading an analysis of the equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) of varying populations within provincial clinical research programs.
Providing other programmatic & administrative support to the ACRC team as required.

Qualifications:
Senior undergraduate in a business or STEM program, returning to their program of study in September 2023.
1-2 years prior experience with: administration, event planning, and/or data management.
Knowledge and interest in Alberta\'s clinical research ecosystem and local biopharma industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
