Join a team that has the environment down to a science.Your OpportunityWe have an immediate opportunity for a Project Coordinator Senior Field Supervisor (Site Investigation, Remediation & Response) to join our dynamic Environmental Services team in British Columbia. As a key member of the team, your technical knowledge and extensive field experience will allow you to mentor and lead more junior personnel. This position will be responsible for detailed, reliable field data collection, providing direction to contractors, and working with project management to address the clients needs.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCoordination of Phase I, II, III Environmental Site Assessments, Stage 1 Preliminary Site Investigation and Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigation/Detailed Site Investigations, remediation projects; as well as applications under the BC Contaminated Sites Regulations for regulatory instruments including Approvals in Principal and Certificate of ComplianceSupporting project managers directly with the implementation of projectsOccasionally being the senior field lead on complex field programsSupporting a significant portfolio with a downstream oil and gas clientProvide mentorship and training to more junior field staffWork with leadership to continually assess the direction of the practice through technical initiativesCollaborate across disciplines including Indoor Environments, Environmental Assessment disciplines, Geotechnical, Atmospheric Sciences, and Water Resources across Stantec Canada officesActively participate in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the teamWork with project managers to develop scopes, budgets, and schedulesOrganize field programs, including subcontractor agreements, scheduling, equipment resourcing, etc.Participating in (when required) marketing and business development meetingsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsMinimum of four (4) years of related experience, delivering outstanding technical solutions on projects, ideally within British ColumbiaStrong communication skills are essentialA strong affinity for teamwork, training/mentoring junior, intermediate and senior office, and field staff is also essential for this positionSuperior and demonstrated verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of the various provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelinesEducation and ExperienceA Degree (Bachelor or Master's) in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or EngineeringMinimum of four (4) years of directly applicable experience as an Environmental Professional, with experience in contaminated sites investigationPossession of or eligibility for a professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., P.Chem., R.P. Bio.) is an assetTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.   • Lower Mainland $79,200/BC Other Areas $74,700 - Lower Mainland $114,800/BC Other Areas $108,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
