The Project Coordinator must be an effective communicator with the leadership skills necessary to motivate professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results on every project.Responsibilities

  • Tendering
  • Draft tender packages
  • Source pricing
  • Draft COT\'s
  • Draft addendums
  • Review any inquiries regarding tenders
  • RFI\'s
  • Draft RFI\'s
  • Follow up to ensure responses
  • PCO\'s
  • Draft PCO\'s
  • Prepare quantities for review
  • Follow up to ensure pricing
  • Safety
  • Upload all safety documents on BIM
  • Create log of requirements from trades
  • Submit safety documents to Carl Seely (Site Safety Coordinator)
  • JSA
  • Toolbox talks
  • MSDS
  • Daily hazard assessments
  • Maintain safety boards
  • Shop drawings
  • Maintain log
  • Send requests for submittals
  • Provide samples
  • Provide product information
  • QA/QC
  • Send reports to client
  • Ensure reports are up to date
  • Review all orders to ensure products are received without damages and are complete
  • Draft and issue corrective measures plan
  • Maintenance manuals
  • Work with Site Superintendent to ensure Red One drawing set up is up to date
  • Prepare files for collection of maintenance manual data
  • Create and maintain log of maintenance manual items
  • Spare materials
  • Spare parts
  • Warranties
  • Maintenance instructions
  • Cleaning instructions
  • Drawings
  • Review drawings to provide input at review stage
  • Assist in preparing site laydown proposals for trades (work areas required)
  • Deficiencies
  • Create deficiency lists
  • Inspect and track daily/weekly
  • Provide weekly reports to Project Manager
  • Quantity take-offs as required
  • Document control
  • Keep site and Procore documents up to date
Technical Requirements
  • Civil or Mechanical engineering background required (Degree or diploma from an accredited institution)
  • Exposure to working in general contracting or the construction management sector considered a definite asset
  • Industrial experience would be considered an asset
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Project, Project cost control software and project management software required
  • Experience with BIM and 3D model use would be considered an asset
