Job Description

We are currently seeking a

Project Coordinator

to join the team in our

Richmond Hill

location. The Project Coordinator's primary responsibility is to make sure the lines of communication between all parties pertaining to the reinforcing scope of work are open and that the correct material is arriving on site per the contractor's schedule and the Foreman's requests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing several projects at a time and dealing with customers to maintain a prompt supply schedule; meeting demands throughout a project's lifecycle Recognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally Identifying discrepancies within the contract documents Understanding needs of customers and processing detailed rebar orders to assist production team in fabrication Enter order details into LP Systems Representing the organization in a professional, positive manner when in contact with clients and consultants Working closely with the Detailing Manager and Detailers to resolve RFI's Use scheduling tools to monitor a project's target delivery dates Coordinate delivery dates with shipping and contractor Receive calls and e-mails from field personnel to sort out clarifications or questions Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget Coordinating with team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and scope of work Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information Conducting a post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Civil engineering or Construction Management education Previous commercial/industrial project experience Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel) Experience using Bluebeam is an asset Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required Desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines A team player with the desire to work collaboratively with others to improve existing processes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
