This is a 12-month contract position that will work closely with the Manager of Real Estate Services to provide support the Real Estate Services, Repair and Maintenance and Equipment Purchasing teams. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in managing organizational contract development and management activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
  • Oversee and manage inventory, shipping and receiving policies for equipment.
  • Manage the sale or disposal of all equipment that has been discontinued or at the end of its life cycle.
  • Support Maintenance Solution Centre administration such as onboarding new vendors, ensuring quality integrity of information and creating and sharing meaningful reports at multiple levels of organization.
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal business departments about contractual issues.
  • May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires completion of a post-secondary diploma in business plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Grocery and/or inventory management experience considered a definite asset.
  • Experience with managing contracts considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to analyze and report on insurance reports, correspondence and contracts.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as paperless systems.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a strong proactive attitude.
Work & Sensory Environment:
  • May be required to perform physical tasks, including standing or walking for extended periods of time.
  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines.
  • Required to travel extensively between Farm Boy stores, Home Office and/or Central Operations (must be flexible in terms of work schedule and location).
  • Possible exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.
  • Exposure to distractions caused by open office noise and frequent interruptions.
