We are currently seeking a qualified Project Coordinator Pole Line design. This candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality control processes supporting project (CAD based) related work. The role will include reviewing engineered drawings, interpreting field notes and verification of adherence to quality assurance through checklists and sub processes.   • Develop, write, discuss and implement quality assurance and standards processes and procedures;
  • Work closely with the technical project team supporting quality of data, designs and CAD created drawings for both underground and civil aspects as they relate to fiber or other broadband projects;
  • Assist the team with coaching and development of resources to ensure quality and drawing and design standards meets both the customer requirements as well as the local authority requirements;
  • Verify the correct usage of data sets, external references and field notes by project team members. Identify missing or incorrect information;
  • Liaison with Municipal/Hydro/Other approving authorities to understand, document and catalog their specific local requirements for permitting. Create playbooks and reference documentation for the project teams;
  • Provide feedback in the form of redlines, markups and notations on CAD and P.Eng drawings as related to integrity of data, adherence to local, provincial, federal, and other requirements;
  • Responsible for ensuring key dates and benchmarks are met by internal and external resources to maintain critical project schedules and project completion deadlines for customers;
  • Responsible for operating in defined budgets while working under pressure on multiple tasks;
  • The ongoing development of Planview USL\'s CAD processes, design standards and methodologies to further develop design and operational efficiencies;
  • Other activities as required.
Specificf Requirements of the position....
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Past experience in either a Quality control role related directly to civil, electrical or telecommunication drawings and designs or equivalent education required;
  • Understanding of Fiber to the Home design and construction in rural settings preferred;
  • Past project management and resource supervisory role with a proven track record of success considered an asset;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • The ability to deal with multiple projects and conflicting deadlines;
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering work plans;
  • Proficient in working in AutoCAD environment, a test will be administered;
  • C.E.T or E.I.T. designation considered an asset;
  • Familiar with industry codes, engineering practices, standards, and construction methods;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity software.
