Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our construction management team. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can manage quantities, perform accurate takeoffs, and support projects from preconstruction through completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, estimating, documentation control, and coordination to ensure projects run efficiently and on schedule.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, field teams, engineers, and suppliers to maintain schedules, control costs, and ensure all project requirements are met.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating using HeavyBid and related tools
Read, interpret, and work directly from construction drawings, civil plans, specifications, and technical schematics
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, municipalities, engineers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Monitor project progress, track quantities installed, and communicate schedule or scope changes promptly
Manage project documentation including RFIs, change orders, submittals, drawings, and as-built records using Procore and Bluebeam
Support budgeting, cost tracking, and quantity reconciliation throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with tender preparation, bid reviews, and pre-qualification documentation
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
Engineering background preferred, including Certified Engineer, Engineer-in-Training, or equivalent technical designation
Quantity Surveyor certification or demonstrated experience performing civil construction takeoffs and quantity tracking
Strong experience with underground, civil, and infrastructure projects including excavation, pipe, water, sewer, and storm systems
Ability to independently perform takeoffs, estimates, and quantity controls with minimal supervision
Experience supporting pre-qualification submissions and tender documentation
Skills and Technical Competencies
Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Civil 3D
Strong understanding of construction estimating, cost control, and quantity management
Excellent ability to read and interpret civil drawings, profiles, sections, and specifications
Solid understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Clear and professional communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and project teams
Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance standards
