Play a vital role in advancing cultural safety and education across Squamish Nation by leading coordination for the Sk?wx?wu?7mesh U?xwumixw Cultural Competency Training Program. As part of Yuustway Health & Wellness, you'll help bridge traditional knowledge with organizational learning, ensuring our snew?iyelh (teachings) are shared with integrity and respect.

What You'll Do


------------------

Coordinate all aspects of the Cultural Competency Training initiative under the guidance of Yuustway Health & Wellness leadership Facilitate collaboration between Language & Culture teams, Elders, Knowledge Keepers and external partners like CheckingIn Organize and document advisory circle meetings, ensuring Sk?wx?wu?7mesh protocols are followed Support development of video-based curriculum that respectfully shares Squamish stories and teachings Manage production logistics including filming schedules, location permissions and Elder honorariums Track project milestones and prepare regular progress reports for leadership Develop engagement strategies to encourage staff participation across all Squamish Nation departments Assist with program evaluation and continuous improvement after launch

Experience coordinating Indigenous-led education or community projects Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with Elders and Knowledge Keepers Strong organizational skills with ability to manage complex timelines and deliverables Experience with curriculum development or multimedia educational tools Understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems and cultural safety principles Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences (staff, leadership, community members) Cultural humility and respect for Sk?wx?wu?7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination

Salary:

$47,000 - $66,000 annually
