You as a Project Coordinator - Oxford Builders Supplies:
Coordinate internal project documentation including shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and submittals, ensuring alignment with general contractor requirements.
Maintain regular communication with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, and field crews to ensure timely execution of work.
Review and interpret construction schedules provided by the GC, and update internal timelines to align with site progress and delivery milestones.
Support project management and site supervision teams in both administrative tasks and on-site coordination.
Conduct quality control checks and maintain records of work completed, inspections, and progress updates.
Assist in day-to-day project operations, including procurement tracking, delivery scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
Learn and apply company systems and procedures to ensure consistent project execution and compliance.
Analyze plans and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, and coordination issues, and communicate findings to the GC and internal teams.
Research and propose solutions to design or site-related issues, including constructability concerns and document discrepancies.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite materials, shop drawings, and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate logs for RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and change notices, and provide updates to project stakeholders.
Coordinate and manage material deliveries to site, ensuring alignment with installation schedules and site access requirements.
Review and manage close-out documentation including warranties, O&M manuals, and final submittals.
Monitor field work to ensure compliance with contract scope, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Is this the right role for you?
Minimum 3 years of construction experience with a subcontractor or equivalent technical training.
Proficiency in scheduling and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and specifications relevant to your trade.
Ability to work collaboratively across office and site environments to meet project goals.
Effective communication skills for interfacing with general contractors, suppliers, and field teams.
Professional demeanor and ability to represent your company on-site and in meetings.
Engineering or construction-related degree or diploma preferred.
Valid
Full G Driver's License
.
Ability to
operate and drive large vehicles
(e.g., cargo vans, cube trucks) for material transport.
Willingness to
load and unload materials
at job sites and warehouse locations.
Ability to
pass provincial and federal safety checks and security clearances
as required by project sites.
