We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Coordinator in Kelowna, BC.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing ongoing project management support to the project management team by ensuring the effective interpretation and administration of the contract. The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma, experience working in urban development and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Coordinate the planning, development and construction projects.
  • Oversee the process of project design, site feasibility studies, permitting, budgeting, and project administration.
  • Assist PM with progress billing, contract review, and change order preparation as required.
  • Monitor daily progress of job(s) and/or project(s), updating forecast and schedules and ensuring that all reporting occurs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required.
  • Calculate and maintain material take-offs from working drawings and check take-offs made by suppliers.
  • Works closely with the PM to provide input into the safe and effective execution of the overall project plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with specific vendors assigned to each project and review new projects and vendors to identify opportunities for improved quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Works closely with Construction Management to participate in work face planning for materials, logistics, equipment and subcontracts.
  • Consistently conducts business in accordance with OCL's values, policies, guidelines and established best practices.
Requirements
  • 3 - 5 years of direct field project experience preferred, with strong project process knowledge
  • CET, EIT or Construction Management and Building Technology degree or diploma
  • Blueprint Reading, Estimating, Construction Fundamentals knowledge
  • Solid technical computer skills (MS Excel, Google Docs, Bluebeam, CAD)
  • Previous experience in multi-family and urban construction
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with commonly used scheduling or estimating software is desirable
