What the position entails:

Are you looking for the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects and work with individuals that are passionate about Geomatics?If so, then this may be the role for you!GeoVerra is currently seeking a Project Coordinator in Edmonton, AB to join our talented and collaborative Industrial team. This role provides project production and technical support on Geomatics projects in both an office and field capacity. The role is responsible for supporting project managers to successfully secure and execute projects.What you will do:

  • Work with and assist project manager through various aspects of a project life cycle including:
  • Proposal / fee estimate preparation
  • Schedule and budget support
  • Client management
  • Project closeout / evaluation
  • Preparation and review of field packages
  • Provide support for field and office staff
  • Preparation and checking of survey deliverables (engineering/construction and Legal products)
  • Travel to field sites throughout Alberta to assist Project Managers and Field Crews.
What you will bring:
  • 2+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Civil, Engineering Design & Drafting, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Geomatics industry in the field and office, with 1+ years on industrial projects
  • Member or eligible for registration with local Technologist Association considered an asset.
  • Member or eligible for registration with Project Management Institute is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of current AutoCAD and/or MicroSurvey software and Microsoft 365 software.
  • Competent in Trimble Equipment
  • Willing and able to travel to field sites throughout Alberta on an as-needed basis
  • Understanding of basic project management principles and applications
  • Knowledge of standard surveying principles, including but not limited to conventional, GNSS, Civil3D and terrain modelling
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes considered an asset
  • Strong communication, time management, organizational and analytical skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization in a fast paced environment
  • Safety first mindset and continuously contributing to maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
  • A valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract.
  • Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, H2S and CSTS safety training is an asset.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
