is a civil contractor, specializing in road construction, environmental remediation and earthworks for over 25 years. We are currently seeking a permanent

Project Coordinator

based in our Anzac (CNOOC Long Lake) Field Office. The role is highlighted by a 14x7 rotation with the opportunity to work out of Acheson during slower seasons.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent will liaise between stakeholders and be responsible for coordinating operations including people, equipment and materials required to complete each project on time and on budget. The incumbent is an energetic individual who can work independently as well as interact effectively with clients and associates.

Role & Responsibilities:

Working with the Project Manager and Superintendent, plans and manages the implementation of contracts to meet or exceed the expectations and specifications/standards set, within or below costs and timelines;

Working closely with the Superintendent, owner, consultants, trade contractors, inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans;

Responsible for project documentation including contracts, change orders, correspondence and filing of documents, drawings, etc.;

Drafts meeting minutes and correspondence;

Coordinates flow of information between departments and stakeholders;

Works closely with the Superintendent and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective project delivery;

Coordinates project administration, safety program compliance, maintaining excellent working relationships with employees, engineers, the owner, support services and anyone else involved in the project completion;

Supports foremen and crews to ensure timely and accurate communication of all information/documentation;

Assists with monitoring cost and quality control during construction;

Develop and maintain a current knowledge of new and emerging industry trends, technology, equipment and techniques;

Assists to identify and implement efficiencies and cost reductions. Review process improvement suggestions, implement and share viable ones;

Project administration including pricing change orders, tracking requests for information and review drawings.

Qualification & Skills:

Civil Construction Experience required.

EIT/P. Eng. designation or other relevant training.

Degree in Civil Engineering an asset.'

Knowledge of Primavera P6 considered an asset.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems considered an asset.

Working knowledge of Alberta Transportation and Saskatchewan Highways bridge specifications and ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Training in project management.

Excellent computer skills.

Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.

Construction survey experience an asset.

Minimum Class 5 Drivers license.

Current CSTS/CSO/PST training, Intermediate (Level C) First Aid, Ground Disturbance for Supervisors, H2S Alive and wildlife Awareness tickets considered an asset.

Pre-screening Drug and Alcohol Testing required.
