Survivor's Hope Crisis Centre is seeking a motivated and community-minded Project Coordinator & Facilitator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education, outreach, and building strong community relationships to support those affected by sexualized violence and related issues.

Position Overview:



The Project Coordinator & Facilitator will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and delivering workshops, presentations, and outreach events across the Interlake-Eastern region. This position also plays a key role in developing and managing community engagement initiatives, educational campaigns, and awareness efforts both in-person and through digital platforms.

Working in collaboration with the Reaching Out and Volunteer Coordinator, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of preventative education on issues related to sexualized violence, exploitation, trauma, and healthy relationships. The role supports broader outreach efforts and strengthens Survivor's Hope's visibility and partnerships across the region.

Key Responsibilities:



oResearch, plan, and organize Reaching Out campaigns, events, and educational projects

Coordinate and support the logistics of events, presentations, and community workshops Facilitate interactive workshops and presentations for diverse audiences o Develop and implement campaigns and educational content for regional groups, organizations, and service providers Create digital content for social media, newsletters and the organization's website Represent Survivor's Hope at events, committee meetings, and in networks to cultivate collaboration and community partnerships Collaborate with staff on project planning, development, and implementation Provide support across Survivor's Hope programs as needed (e.g., SADI workshops, SARAH Drop-in groups) Manage program-related resources, including purchasing supplies and tracking expenses Maintain thorough documentation and assist in compiling program reports for funders Stay informed about local services and provide referrals when appropriate

Qualifications & Experience:



oPost-secondary education in community development, social services, human services (e.g., BA in Psychology, Sociology, BSW, B.Ed) OR

2-4 years of equivalent work experience in community or social service settings (additional education/training considered an asset). Experience in program or event coordination, ideally in a nonprofit or outreach setting Familiarity with an empowerment-based, trauma-informed approach Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proven ability to build and maintain community partnerships Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong intersectional feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist understanding Knowledge of the systemic causes and differential impacts of sexualized violence Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, Google Suite, and social media platforms Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment Knowledge of regional community resources is an asset Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required Clear child abuse registry, adult abuse registry, criminal record, and vulnerable sector checks required prior to employment, along with reliable references

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
