Summary
ACCT is seeking a full-time, dynamic, and culturally competent Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of the NOUR (Navigating Our Rights) Project, a 24-month initiative focused on improving access to justice for Arab and African newcomer women. The Coordinator will lead project planning and implementation, participant recruitment, partnership communication and collaboration, workshops organization, stakeholder engagement, and reporting, while overseeing the Legal Navigators Network and ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery.
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the NOUR project across a 24-month timeline.
Develop and monitor detailed project workplans, activities, and timelines.
In coordination with the Legal Support Worker, coordinate the recruitment, training, and supervision of Legal Navigators,
Manage and cultivate partnerships with legal service providers, community agencies, and cultural organizations.
Oversee the design and delivery of legal education materials
Lead outreach and promotional campaigns to engage newcomer women and relevant communities.
Coordinate logistics and delivery of general legal awareness sessions and Legal Navigator training sessions (in-person and virtual).
Work together with the Legal Support Worker to oversee and provide guidance to Legal Navigators., including follow up on the implementation of their community sessions and monitoring data collection.
Monitor progress against deliverables and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
Work closely with the evaluation team to implement pre/post surveys, session logs, and participant interviews.
Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, navigator cohort check-ins, and share project learning.
Contribute to sustainability planning and integration of project components into ACCT's core programming.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Law, or a related field.
At least 3 years of project coordination experience in the non-profit or settlement sector.
Experience in partnership coordination/collaboration, working with multiple stakeholders, preferably in the GTA/Canadian context.
Strong understanding of gender-based barriers and systemic challenges facing immigrant, racialized, and newcomer women.
Experience working with culturally diverse communities, particularly Arab and African populations.
Proven leadership and facilitation skills; experience supervising staff or volunteers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic, Somali, or French is a strong asset.
Must possess and maintain a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
