Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
This position will focus on the coordination of an on-going project aimed to support a more resilient and stable workforce of continuing care home staff. This study involves a pre-post intervention with a process evaluation, working about 100 managers across Alberta to teach a) leadership and communication and b) local quality improvement strategies. The Project Coordinator will support the coordination and operations of the study including day to day project management, communication with team members, drafting reports and budget reviews. This position will involve hands on duties including: scheduling, coordinating, and administrative tasks. We are seeking a Project Coordinator based in Edmonton. The position will report to TREC's Associate Director and TREC's Senior Team Lead, Field Research and Operations, working closely with the principal investigator.
Responsibilities:

  • Understand and maintain study protocols and ethics to reflect the requirements of the projects
  • Maintain a small budget of local resource funds; monitoring the budget, compiling and submitting financial reports to the TREC's Senior Management team
  • Coordinate all project and team meetings, and keep accurate minutes
  • Help develop project materials including: documents, questionnaires, packages, etc.
  • Help ensure that project data is collected in a timely manner, including coordination with team members and contractors
  • Ensure that quality control procedures are adhered to, and the highest quality data is collected
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an Undergraduate degree in a health or social sciences discipline; graduate degree in health or highly related social science discipline is required
  • 3-5 years of related project coordination experience in health research setting is mandatory (e.g., health, social service)
  • Experience in health setting is a requirement strong, preference will be given to applicants with continuing care (e.g., nursing home) experience
  • Strong research project management experience
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and constructively in a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
