Western Archrib is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our project management team in delivering large-scale mass timber projects. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating between internal departments, external partners, and clients to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
This position requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and an understanding of the construction process, ideally with exposure to engineered wood products such as glulam, GLT, and hybrid timber systems.
This position will report directly to the Senior Manager - Projects and can be remote, with a preference for candidates located at our Edmonton office.

About the position
Western Archrib is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will help deliver large-scale mass timber projects from concept through completion, ensuring exceptional quality, communication, and coordination at every stage.
In this role, you will:
Support the Project Management team in executing complex mass timber projects on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate between clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure clear communication and efficient project execution.
Maintain and organize project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, drawings, and change orders.
Track project progress--monitoring schedules, milestones, and deliverables to align with client requirements and production capacity.
Assist with logistics planning for procurement, fabrication, and delivery of glulam, GLT, and hybrid timber components.
Facilitate project meetings and prepare progress updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Support quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Collaborate with site and installation teams to coordinate delivery schedules, track field progress, and contribute to close-out documentation.
Preferred Requirements
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in construction project coordination or management, preferably within mass timber, engineered wood, or structural steel projects.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel), as well as Bluebeam, Procore, and BIM platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Understanding of mass timber fabrication and installation processes is a strong asset.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and scheduling.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and contribute to proactive solutions.
Proven collaboration and teamwork abilities across disciplines and with external partners.
Adaptable and resourceful, able to thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving project demands.
Work Location
This position offers flexibility to work remote or hybrid, with a preference for candidates located near our Edmonton office (4315 92 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, T6B 3M7)
Work Schedules
Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 7am - 4pm.
Compensation
Wage ranges from $55,000-$65,000 per annum depending on experience.
