What You'll Do
------------------
As a Project Coordinator within our transmission infrastructure team
based in Edmonton, AB
, you will support the successful delivery of projects involving the construction and upgrade of high-voltage transmission lines and associated infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and project management teams, ensuring project milestones, deliverables, and documentation are tracked and completed in alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & PlanningAssist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans across multiple transmission infrastructure projects.
Track project deliverables and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall project plans and client expectations.
Support coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and identify project risks.
Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, schedules, change orders, and other project records.
Prepare internal and client-facing reports summarizing project progress, cost forecasts, and schedule variances.
Ensure proper document control practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder & Team CommunicationFacilitate regular team meetings and interface with internal disciplines, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
Support the coordination of permitting and regulatory documentation with municipal and provincial authorities as required.
Assist in tracking client feedback and ensuring follow-up actions are documented and executed.
Procurement & Contract SupportSupport procurement efforts by coordinating with vendors, tracking purchase orders, and monitoring material delivery schedules.
Assist in reviewing vendor submittals, change requests, and contractor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
What You Bring
------------------
Registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional License (Eng) is required.
4-9 Years of Electrical Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post secondary institute.
Valid Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required to facilitate travel to work sites for engineering field review.
Knowledgeable in Alberta Electric Utility Code and CSA Standard requirements.
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microstation and AutCad are considered an asset.
Experience with aerial line design software such as PLS-CADD, QUICKPOLE, SPIDA Calc. and lighting calculations AGi-32 is considered an asset.
5 + years experience in electrical distribution systems with knowledge of underground and aerial distribution and construction methods.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
