NOTE: This is a temporary position ending on or before February 15, 2024

The Corporate Training area requires a self-motivated, highly detailed project coordinator to scope, plan and implement contract training projects for various clients across many industries. Although this position may be required to work in any portfolio, at this time 50%, of this position will be focused on managing training projects in various Aboriginal communities. Projects will focus mainly in the areas of trades, business leadership, health and emergency management, energy and environment, information technology and project management. This position requires periodic travel to training sites for client meetings and project preparation.

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Training, the Project Coordinator demonstrates the following competencies: strong organizational skills, effective communicator and collaborator, customer focused, excellent relationship building, strong problem solving, effectively manage projects and people and excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing beginning to end project plans based on contractual terms
  • Effectively communicating and negotiating with clients regarding project delivery
  • Researching and compiling direct project costs for pricing purposes (Estimating)
  • Recruiting and selecting instructors, subject matter experts and other project staff as required
  • Arranging end to end logistics for delivery of contract training projects on and off campus
  • Travelling to project locations to meet clients and to monitor activities and project progress
  • Resolving issues with project delivery and implementation as required
  • Monitoring and reviewing project budget to actuals and conduct post project review

Qualifications:
  • Related diploma and/or degree (desired)
  • Extensive experience managing and implementing projects
  • Previous multi-cultural exposure/experiences is an asset
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities is preferred
  • Valid Alberta Drivers\' license
Remuneration: $2,717.63 - $3600.28 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
