The Individual Learning Modules Office is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and distribution of all Individual Learning Modules (ILMs). ILMs are standardized learning resources for instructors and students in apprenticeship, trades, and technical training courses. Based on the Alberta apprenticeship course outline, published modules provide apprentices with current, standardized learning materials that meet or exceed Alberta industry standards. The ILM office, both a learning resource development and publishing team, manages ILM content development, product creation, publishing, and product distribution.
The ILM Project Coordinator reports to the Manager Product Development and Publishing within the ILM office and is primarily responsible for support and coordination of ILM content development projects.
ILM content development projects are curriculum development projects, where the primary deliverable is to create and update learning content, both written and visual (images/graphics), across multiple ILMs within a specific trade. The content development life-cycle includes four phases; Planning, Development, Publishing, and Quality Assurance. Working with the Manager Product Development and Publishing, the ILM Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating successful delivery of project deliverables/goals through all four phases of the content development life-cycle including assigning and tracking project tasks, resources, timelines and schedules.
