One of our major banking clients is looking for a Project Coordinator (data management practices & Financial Experience)
Length: 6 months with a huge possibility conversion to FTE
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid
LOB: Capital Markets- Client Data Management

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Client Data Management (CDM) team is responsible for driving the overall Capital Markets (CM) client reference data strategy, supporting daily client lifecycle operations, providing client reference data management, delivering client data architecture, and managing the data governance framework.

Reporting to the VP Operations - Client Reference Data Management, the Data and Project Lead Associate role will support a large data-driven, cross-business initiative in the client reference data space, integrating an acquired business. The Associate will lead and manage the CDM teams project responsibilities with our document management application, and the processes used to digitize, manage, and report on legal contracts for derivative products. The individual will facilitate communication, coordinate activities, track progress and deadlines, troubleshoot issues, provide business and data analytics, participate in data remediation and data quality activities, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and business validation activities.

  • Act as lead for, and representative of, the CDM team within the larger project team
  • Liaise, facilitate, and support communication between integration project team, CDM, offshore team, and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate CDM tasks and deliverables
  • Provide business and data analysis to support project outcomes
  • Raise project risks and escalate issues to manager; participate in defining action plan to resolve
  • Work with business stakeholders to define and implement process change where required
  • Ensure data is fit for purpose and meets the data quality requirements of business consumers
  • Work with business units to validate cross-platform data mappings and coordinate data loads into target system
  • Analyze data inputs/outputs and remediate data quality exceptions
  • Validate accuracy of key monthly reports to stakeholder groups
  • Execute UAT and business validation activities
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Completion of an applicable university degree and/or relevant professional designation is required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a similar operational role within the financial services industry
  • Understanding and/or experience with data management practices (data profiling, matching, cleansing, mastering, and exception management)
  • Project experience; experience meeting deadlines and delivering components of complex projects
  • Experience in an operational data management and reporting function
  • Experience with DocIntel or similar document management application used to digitize, and store derivative legal contracts is preferred
  • Knowledge of derivative legal agreements (ISDA MA, CSA, Repo, Secured Lending) would be an asset

  • Ability to maintain strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
NICE TO HAVE/ IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Operational experience within financial services
  • Experience with document management system
  • Knowledge of derivative legal agreements
  • Legal experience at a consulting firm, as long as they understand the operational capacity and a project
