Rafat General Contractor Inc. is a fast-growing, full-service construction company delivering municipal, institutional, and commercial projects across the GTA. We are seeking an experienced

Project Coordinator

to support our Project Managers and ensure successful delivery of road infrastructure, parks, and ICI building projects (including recreation centres and community facilities).

About the Role

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and tracking project activities from start to finish. You will support the Project Manager with documentation, scheduling, procurement, and communication between subcontractors, consultants, and clients. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong civil/ICI construction knowledge and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination of project activities Prepare and manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes Monitor project schedules, track milestones, and follow up on outstanding items Support procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services Coordinate and communicate effectively with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients Update progress reports and maintain accurate project records Assist with quantity tracking, progress billing, and cost control activities Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, safety standards, and company procedures Participate in site meetings and conduct site visits to monitor progress

Qualifications

Minimum

5 years of experience

as a Project Coordinator in civil, municipal, parks, or ICI construction Strong understanding of road works, underground utilities, grading, concrete, landscaping, and building construction Proficiency with MS Office; experience with project management software is an asset Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across the GTA
